Problems with painting are rarely with color, but from weak values, which muddy the application of color in any medium.
This one-day workshop is open to students at all skill levels, beginner to advanced, who want a strong foundation in black and white.
Topics to be covered include description of charcoal supplies and how to use them as well as basic concepts such as values, shapes and shading techniques to make objects look three dimensional.
Class size is limited to ensure students feel successful in learned concepts and their finished piece. Students will complete a magnolia during the eight-hour class.
