ABBEY ARCHIVE PROJECT: HOUSE OF MANY MANSIONS
In May, Abbot Justin gave our archivist, Dr. Charles Nolan, permission to get one of our aging films digitized. It's called House of Many Mansions, and it was put together by Baton Rouge television station WBRZ. This is only the first of many parts; the file is an hour long, and we plan to break it into three-to-five minute segments.
This is the beginning of a larger plan to rescue the films in our archives. The film is aging and demands immediate work before it dissolves and is lost to future generations. You can help defray the cost of preserving the contents of the film with donations earmarked for this purpose. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call our alumni director, Fr. Matthew Clark at 985 867-2245.
Our plan is to scan old photos, post them to Flickr.com, and open up those collections to comments. You can tell us what you know about the photos in the comments section by signing in with your Flickr, Facebook or Gmail account. If you don't have these accounts, you may click this link: Archive Project submission form. Please include the number of the collection and the name of the photo in the form; we'll post your comments to Flickr for you.
