VIVITE VIANNEY! CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS
Grounded in tradition. Renovating for the future. Forming the new Sons of Saint Ben's.
A LETTER FROM PRESIDENT-RECTOR GREGORY BOQUET
I am pleased to report that seminary enrollment has grown to 80 students, and is well on its way toward a goal of 120 within the decade. To ensure we have the capacity to house the growing number of seminarians, we wish to renovate Vianney Hall.
The first step toward that goal is enlisting volunteers to help with a Feasibility Study. In May and June, volunteers will meet with fellow alumni and friends of the Abbey to determine whether there might be enough interest to proceed with a $3 million campaign to renovate the hall. I would like to invite you to be part of this very special group, the Saint Joseph Seminary "Vianney Hall Campaign Team."
The work of the team falls roughly into two halves, as described in the linked document entitled Responsibilities of the Campaign Team. At this point we are simply asking you to consider helping with the first half, a survey that volunteers will help us conduct from May 14 and 15 through mid-June. If the work is enjoyable to you, we will gladly accept your continued involvement when it comes time to launch the campaign and ask others for support.
To learn more about the project, the process, and the role of the Campaign Team, we have scheduled "Come and See" gatherings for both May 14 and 15; choose the date that is most convenient to you. To help organize and keep the process on a timely schedule, Greg Jeffrey has been secured as our campaign director. Greg has 25 years experience with Catholic schools and parishes, and will lead the presentation that evening.
