A Unique Call
to A Brush With Art, History, and The Creative Spirit

As long ago as 1232 artisans of painting joined together to share their knowledge and encouragement in confraternities named for St. Luke, the patron Saint of Painters. Throughout the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, communities showed an understanding of the importance of the creative life of the soul by supporting the Guild.

The Guild of St. Luke is an outreach of Saint Joseph Abbey and Abbey Art Works, curated by Abbey Art Works artist-in-residence Lyn Taylor.
